Delete Your Account and Data

Last updated: August 1, 2026. Legal version: 2026-05-25

1. Which App This Covers

This page explains how to delete your Savy's Tips account and the data linked to it. It covers the Savy's Tips app on Google Play and the App Store, and the web app at app.savystips.com. The same account is used on all three, so deleting it on one of them deletes it everywhere.

The operator responsible for these requests is: legal name: Savy's Tips operator - business details pending; tax number: To be added before live monetization; address: To be added before live monetization; business country: HU.

2. Delete Your Account In the App

Open Profile, scroll to the Account section, and tap Delete Account. A confirmation appears before anything is deleted, and you can cancel there.

On Android the confirmation is titled "Delete account?" and reads: "This permanently deletes your account data and signs you out." You confirm with the "Delete account" button.

On iOS the confirmation is titled "Delete account?" and reads: "This deletes your login and removes your active profile data. Some records may be kept if required for safety or legal reasons." You confirm with the "Delete Account" button.

On the web app the browser confirmation reads: "Delete your account? This erases your profile data and keeps only a deleted account status marker."

Confirming starts the deletion immediately. There is no second step, no cooling-off prompt, and no way to undo it. Your sign-in is removed and you are signed out on every device. If you last signed in a long time ago, the app may ask you to sign in again first as a security check, and you then repeat the steps above.

3. Request Deletion Without the App

You do not need the app installed to have your account deleted. If you have already uninstalled it, changed device, or cannot sign in, email support@savystips.com with the subject "Delete my account".

Send the request from the email address on the account where possible, and include the email address on the account, your username if you set one, and whether you used Android, iOS, or the web app. If you cannot write from the account address, we will ask you for other details that only the account holder would know, because we will not delete an account for someone who cannot show it is theirs.

Verified requests are actioned within 30 days of verification, and the same deletion described below is applied. You can also send the request to privacy@savystips.com, which reaches the same people.

4. What Is Deleted Immediately

As soon as you confirm, the following are deleted and cannot be recovered:

  • Your sign-in credential. The authentication record is deleted, so the email address, password, and any linked sign-in provider can no longer be used to reach the account.
  • Your username reservation, which is released. Anyone can claim that username afterwards, so it may not be available if you sign up again later.
  • Your notification state, including your inbox read state and delivery preferences.
  • Your push notification device tokens, which are cleared everywhere they were stored, so no further notifications can be sent to your devices.

5. What Is Deleted Within 30 Days

Your account is marked for deletion straight away and is no longer usable. Within 30 days an automated retention sweep permanently erases the personal data held in our operational database, including:

  • Your profile: email address, display name, profile photo, and sign-in providers.
  • Your subscription access record and account status record.
  • Your votes and your vote totals.
  • Your notification history, read receipts, and stored device tokens.
  • Your rewarded-ad unlock sessions and your pick interaction events.
  • Your free-trial device claims and your activation state.
  • Your badge and streak progress.
  • Your account activity log.
  • Your purchase verification records and the revenue records linked to your account.
  • Your consent records.

After that sweep, the row that anchored those records is left empty. The email address, display name, profile photo, sign-in providers, and stored profile data are all cleared, the record is disabled, and only an internal account identifier remains.

6. What Is Kept, and Why

A deleted-account marker is kept. It records that the account is deleted, when deletion was requested, that you requested it yourself, and a small snapshot of the account taken at that moment: the previous account status, the sign-in provider used, whether a username was set, whether Premium was active and under which plan, and the date the account was created. It is kept so that a deletion can be proven, so that a deleted account is never silently reactivated, and so that abuse or fraud investigations already under way are not defeated by deleting an account.

Purchase and billing records held by Apple, Google Play, Stripe, and RevenueCat are held by those companies, not by us, and they keep them under their own policies and under tax and accounting law. Deleting your Savy's Tips account does not and cannot delete them. Requests about those records must go to the provider you purchased from.

Content that is not linked to your account, such as published pick history and overall result statistics, is not personal data and is unaffected.

We may keep specific records for longer where legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention obligations require it, as set out in the Privacy Policy. If you want written confirmation that your deletion has completed, ask for it at the support address above.

7. Deleting Your Account Does Not Cancel Your Subscription

Cancel your subscription before you delete your account. Premium subscriptions are billed by Google Play, Apple, or Stripe, not by us. We cannot cancel or refund them on your behalf, and deleting your account does not stop them. If you delete the account without cancelling, the subscription keeps renewing and you keep being charged, and you will have lost the in-app link to your billing settings.

Google Play: open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Savy's Tips, and tap Cancel subscription. You can do the same in a browser at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

App Store: open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Savy's Tips, and tap Cancel Subscription.

Web: open Profile in the web app and use Manage Subscription to reach the billing portal, then cancel there.

Cancelling stops future charges and leaves the period you already paid for running until it ends. Refund requests for App Store or Google Play purchases are decided by Apple or Google and must be made to them.

8. Get a Copy of Your Data First

Deletion is permanent, so export anything you want to keep before you start. You can request a copy of the personal data held about your account by emailing privacy@savystips.com from the address on the account. Ask for the copy before you delete, because once the account is gone we can no longer identify which data was yours.
